Go is traditionally timed with main time plus byo-yomi periods. Many casual Go players use delay-style timing - a fixed thinking window each turn before the main clock runs down - and the same engine handles chess, Scrabble and debate timing.

What is byo-yomi in Go?
Byo-yomi is a countdown of one or more fixed time periods that begins once your main time runs out. You must finish each move within a period to keep it. ChessTimer does not run multi-period byo-yomi; its simple (US) delay reproduces a single repeating period, which is what most casual Go games need.
Can I use this timer for chess and Scrabble too?
Yes. The same two-player clock works for chess, Go, Scrabble, draughts and any turn-based game - pick a time control and tap your side to pass the turn.
