ChessTimer is built to be private by default. We do not collect, store, share or sell any personal data.
No data collection
ChessTimer has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. We never see how you use the app.
Everything stays on your device
Your settings and any custom time controls you create are saved locally on your device only. They are never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
Works offline
The app needs no network connection to function. It makes no requests to our servers because we don't operate any for the app.
No third parties
ChessTimer integrates no third-party SDKs that collect data — no ad networks, no crash/usage analytics.
Permissions
ChessTimer requests no microphone, camera, location or contacts access. On Android it uses only vibration and audio-output settings for haptics and sounds.
Children
The app contains no objectionable content and is safe for all ages. Because no data is collected, none is collected from children either.
